Website Ideas

When i was doing research on websites for music channels (see third blog post) i started to have lots of ideas when it came to my own, and what i wanted ALT's website to look like. As a class we created templates with strict pixel measurement requirements so that it was then easier to correlate our photoshop documents, if they were precise, to Adobe Dreamweaver. This is a basic plan i drew up, with the pixel measurements on the sides:

The margins were made for a guideline for the actual content, without them our pictures and text boxes would probably overlap or shift around the screen. The box in the middle is space for all the general content of my website, and this guide would be the main template for all three of my pages for the ALT website. The pixels shown are exemplars of the general measurements for most websites.

This guide was a more precise one, which is colour coded. I made it so that when i came to design the website mock up on Adobe Photoshop i would have more of an understanding as to where to put things and precisely how big to make my boxes.

This was very useful when it came to producing my mock up home page for my website on Adobe Photoshop, i felt more organised and structured and felt i got it done quickly.
